The Trillium Automobile Dealers Association Automotive Graduation Award

The purpose of this annual award is to provide financial assistance to Ontario secondary school graduating students who have made the decision to pursue a post- secondary education in the field of Automotive Service, Motive Power or Auto Technology at a recognized Ontario college. The TADA takes very seriously its role in supporting our industry by ensuring every possible effort is made to encourage students at the secondary and post-secondary levels to consider meaningful, lifelong careers in this vibrant and exciting sector.

Award Overview

One award of $500.00 (CDN) will be made available to each Ontario school board each academic year. This entrance award will be presented to a graduating secondary school student who has been accepted into and formally enrolled in an Automotive Service, Motive Power or Auto Technology program at a TADA- recognized post-secondary school in Ontario. (Please see list below.)

The award will be presented in the form of a one-time cheque payment upon confirmation of the recipient student’s confirmation of acceptance and enrolment into their selected program.

Award Criteria

To be considered eligible for the TADA Automotive Graduation Award, student applicants must:

  • be accepted into an Automotive Service, Motive Power or Auto Technology program at a TADA-recognized Ontario post-secondary school

  • confirm their enrolment into their selected program OR submit a letter with their application that indicates their firm intention to enrol in said program

  • graduate with a final year average of 70% or higher
- be eligible to graduate in good standing from an Ontario secondary school


If no eligible applicants are put forward from a school board in a particular academic year, the TADA is under no obligation to present the award in another form.

If multiple applicants are put forth from a single school board in one academic year, the TADA Education Committee will review all applications and determine a winner based on criteria including graduating average, extracurricular activities and other application information

These awards are available to students at colleges across Ontario in Motive Power and Automotive Service Technician programs, as well as those in Business, Marketing, Accounting and other related faculties whose diplomas can easily lead them to our industry.

Up to $50,000 in TADA Awards and Scholarships are currently available to students at colleges throughout the province who represent the best and brightest future candidates for the automotive industry.
