As a Parts Advisor you are responsible for assisting customers to find the right product to fit their needs. You will be expected to work with other team members both within the department and across departments to enhance the service experience.


  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • Parts Advisor experience is an asset

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers when they first arrive
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are handled tactfully, promptly, with genuine concern, and according to the dealership’s guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, asking questions to ensure understanding of needs, and supplying parts in a timely manner.
  • Ensure necessary parts are available.
  • Inform customers when special order parts have arrived.
  • Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need attention.
  • Receive parts from vendors and ensure they are correct and damage free.
  • Coordinates with the service department, sales department, body shop, and others to ensure that parts requests are met.

  • Orders parts accurately and promptly by skillfully using the facilities parts cataloging system and the relevant portions of the facilities computerized management system.

Physical and Work Demands

  • Moving throughout the Parts Department
  • Using computer to look up information and write up orders
  • Standing six to eight hours during a shift
  • Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing
  • Using equipment consistent with industry standards

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm*

*one day/week you will be required to work 7:00am-5:00pm
